The Snow Sampler
Vancouver - Whistler - Clearwater - Wells Gray Park - Valemount - Jasper - Banff - Calgary
Big name ski mountains get their names because they have the huge terrain to ski, and with it, amazing selection of ski runs. We cover here the famous ski mountains. You will ski with the most international mix of skiers who have come from all over the world to experience these mountains. Like all major mountains at the end of the day there is the après ski village life, from remote mountain resorts to full on ski town resorts. This is the tour for the ski fanatic who yearns to experience these famous mountains.
Just as you think you are done, we add the off piste winter activities; dog sledding and snowmobiling. We go off to see some of the most spectacular winter scenery in the world. With these additional off the crowd activities you will get to experience the extremes of each activity, location and beauty.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Vancouver - Whistler
- Pick up from airport of hotel and head to Whistler!
- Day 2: Whistler
- Ski Whistler for 2 days.
- Day 4: Whistler - Clearwater
- Head out to Wells Gray Park. This area is good for getting acclimatized to the winter. Check out some waterfalls, wild life and get into the snow!
- Day 5 / 6 / 7: Valemount
- Explore Wells Gray Park and then we head out this evening and will spend the next few days in Valemount. Over the next two days here, we will spend a day driving your own snowmobile, on tour, high up the mountains in the powder Bowls of the Monashees. On the other day we will take a dogsled team on a mountain trail to a alpine cabin for a cook out lunch. Returning before dark!
- Day 8: Jasper
- After a leisurely breakfast, we continue on to Jasper; we will stop along the way to view Mr Rosbson, and the numerous waterfalls along the way.
- Day 9: Jasper
- Here we will take the day to explore and ice climb the ice caves and frozen waterfalls of Maligne Canyon or Ski at Marmot Basin Ski Resort.
- Day 10: Banff
- Today we head down the Icefields Parkway. Frozen waterfalls, ice covered cliff faces and snow capped mountains are the norm of the day! While in Banff we will experience the high and dry snow mountains of the Rockies
- Day 11 / 12: Banff
- Ski Sunshine Village one day and Lake Louise the next!
- Day 13: Calgary
- Return to Calgary for your flight home.
