Cranbrook - Fernie (Fernie Ski Resort) - Kimberley (Kimberley Ski Hill) - Invermere (Panorama Ski Resort) - Golden (Kicking Horse Ski Hill) - Banff (Lake Louise Ski Resort and Sunshine Valley Ski Resort) - Calgary
Skiing is the combination of appreciating the beautiful scenery, enjoying the best snow and of course, the thrill of the run; with this tour we have taken each of these to the max. The Southern Rockies is little known to the mainline skiers, since it is off the main track. We will go there, and have so few crowds that the end of the day comes when you are finished not when the lifts close.
Itinerary
- Day 1 / 2 / 3 : Cranbrook to Fernie
- Arrive at Cranbrook International Airport where you will be met by your guide. From there, you will be transferred to Fernie. We will have two whole days skiing at Fernie.
- Day 4 / 5: Kimberley
- We transfer after skiing Fernie to Kimberley. Here we will be for three nights to enjoy two days of skiing on this little known mountain.
- Day 6 / 7: Panorama Ski Resort (Invermere)
- After an early-morning start and a short drive, you will find yourself in Panorama. This 2,800 acre ski resort nestled in the Purcell mountain range of BC is well known for its long cruiser runs and the powder skiing of Taynton Bowl. Two days of skiing Panorama.
- Day 8: Radium Hot Spring to Golden
- Today is a rest day. From our experience, after the initial days of skiing on tour, most skiers are ready for a day off their boards. We sleep in and head for Radium Hot Springs for a soak before a relaxing drive to Golden.
- Day 9: Golden
- In Golden we get to start hitting the ‘real mountains’ …welcome to Kicking Horse Resort. Kicking Horse is a true BC mountain: super steeps and deep powder. Here you will find over 4000 ft. of amazing vertical and more than 120 runs. We will overnight three nights in Golden at a local B&B with hot tub, close the town and close to the mountain. This gives us the option of one or two days skiing Kicking Horse!
- Day 10: Yoho National Park to Lake Louise Resort
- After an early-morning start, you will experience a scenic drive going through Yoho National Park taking you to Lake Louise Resort.
- Day 11 / 12 / 13: Banff / Lake Louise / Sunshine Village
- Lake Louise is the second largest and one of the most famous ski hills in all of Canada. We spend four nights in Banff. Banff is central to two of the most famous Rocky Mountain Ski areas. These are Lake Louise, Sunshine Village. We have the opportunity to ski four days here, or take some time out to enjoy Banff and some of the winter sites in the area.
- Day 14: Banff - Calgary
- Today we transfer to Calgary airport for the flights back home!
